About us
Fig Tree Point Press is in Parapara, Golden Bay. It is a private printshop/atelier - not a collective. It produces only for Lil Hambrook and will not print other artists' editions. It may offer the occasional tutorial or short-term class .
By 2027 you will be able to buy prints and paintings from this website.
The studio has both Etching, Letterpress and Bookbinding presses. A Takach 2007 Floor Model Etching Press (48x96" press bed), 3 Chandler & Price Letterpresses, a Vandercook #5 Proofing Press, a Latham Machinery Bookbinding Press and multiple nipping presses. There are over 60+ varieties of typeface in both metal and wood.
The studio has a dedicated metalsmithing component as well as print studio - for both jewellery making, mixed media artworks and art books.
Other activities - encaustic wax painting, oil and acrylic painting, and watercolours.
